OPTIONS INCLUDE:

• INSTITUTIONAL MEMBERSHIP $185 (+$55 late registration fee)
Includes one full conference fee and one individual membership for your school's designated institutional representative.
 
• INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP ($30) + FULL CONFERENCE ($200) - $230 total
Open to all art professionals: faculty, administrators, artists, curators, collectors. Includes one year membership in TASA, full participation in the conference, including the One Foot Exhibition, panels, speakers, workshops and banquet.

• STUDENT MEMBERSHIP ($5) + FULL CONFERENCE (without banquet) ($25) - $30 total
(Saturday evening 10/25 banquet ticket may be added for an additional $25)
Open to all current art students, both undergraduate and graduate. Includes one year membership in TASA, participation in the conference, the One Foot Exhibition, all panels, speakers, and workshops.

• BANQUET ONLY - $85
This ticket gives a member or guest admission to the Saturday evening 10/25 banquet dinner and keynote presentation by acclaimed Texas artist and musician Terry Allen.

Thursday we have our exclusive scholarship fundraiser meet and greet event with Trenton Doyle Hancock. There will be prizes and more to develop scholarship accounts for Texas Art students. 
 
Art professionals and patrons, we have an excellent line up of speakers and presentations covering relevant topics and issues from academia to commercial concerns, press as a regional powerhouse and international art strategies for exhibiting and emboldening the arts scene. 

Faculty, we have an exclusive opportunity to participate in a survey that may be part of a petition/suggestion to the THECB regarding ARTS classes and the CORE.

TASA 2014 One Foot Student Exhibition

About the Show

Every year at the TASA Annual Conference, member student conference attendees are invited to participate in the TASA One Foot Student Exhibition. As the exhibition title indicates, submissions for this show must be limited to one square foot for 2D work or one cubic foot for 3D pieces.

Heyd Fontenot, director of the UT Dallas CentralTrak artist residency will juror the exhibition. The show will be on view in the H. Paxton Moore Fine Art Gallery at El Centro College on Friday and Saturday, October 24-25. The reception will be on Saturday afternoon the 25th.

Portfolio / Scholarship Award
 
1 - $500 Undergraduate Student Award
1 - $1,000 Graduate Student Award

 
To be considered for the new TASA scholarship, student participants must sign up for the conference, and submit a digital portfolio along with their artwork for the show. Our juror, Heyd Fontenot, will choose the award winners from the portfolio submissions, and will grant portfolio reviews to a select group of applicants at the conference on Saturday October 25th.

To submit an electronic portfolio, include the following on a Windows compatible CD or DVD along with your artwork submission: 1) up to 6 .jpg images of your work (minimum 1500 pixel resolution); 2) a checklist with title/date, medium, and dimensions for each image submitted; 3) an artist statement; 4) an artist resume or bio. Acceptable formats for checklist / statement / resume are Word .doc or .pdf.
 
Label the CD or DVD with your name and contact info. Your scholarship application will not be returned. Please note: if you wish, you may enter the TASA One Foot Student Exhibition without submitting a portfolio scholarship application.

Shipping Deadline
 
Postmark deadline for shipping work is Friday October 10th to ensure participation in the show. Alternatively, work may be hand delivered to the gallery by Friday October 17th at 3pm. Exhibitors must be registered for the TASA conference in order to enter the TASA One Foot Student Exhibition. You may choose to use your shippers tracking to follow the delivery. The gallery is not responsible for tracking shipped work.
